This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The In-Community-Per Diem Clinician at The YMCA of Greater Monmouth County intentionally fosters a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing, and determined. The Family Care Program is an in-home program designed to assist youth within the community who are coping with emotional and/or behavioral challenges. The per diem clinician will work to establish a partnership with families, and referring agencies, utilizing a strengths-based approach in resolving challenges and supporting youth and families in their communities. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, and hours of availability based on client needs.
Clinicians are needed in the following areas in Monmouth & Ocean County:
Monmouth County: Long Branch, Matawan, Middletown, Neptune, Asbury Park, Keansburg, Red Bank, Union Beach, Keyport, Eatontown, Howell, and Freehold
Ocean County: Lakewood, Point Pleasant, Jackson, Toms River, Little Egg Harbor, and Manahawkin
1. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with referring Agency liaisons, personnel, and community agencies involved in the treatment process for each assigned family in order to ensure coordination of treatment and promote positive program functioning.
2. Maintain excellent clinical services to clients; maintain client files and documentation according to good practice procedures as established by NJ licensing agencies; and follow Community YMCA policies & procedures.
3. Promote the Agency in a positive manner with funding sources, staff, referral sources and community agencies.
4. Takes responsibility for improving clinical skills and utilizing supervision.
5. Maintains confidentiality requirements as stated by law.
• Minimum of a NJ LSW / LAC; LCSW / LPC Preferred
• Must demonstrate a high level of cultural competence and sensitivity.
• Experience with the population being served and familiarity with in-home processes.
• Experience with the children’s System of care preferred.
• Valid NJ Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and valid NJ Motor Vehicle Insurance.
